One Skort, Three Ways

I love skirts. I think they are super femine and can show off your figure or be fun and flowy! But a similar piece that I love even more is a skort. I love love love a skort! Skorts give the sassy look of a skirt but the comfortable coverage of shorts. It’s the besttttttt of both worlds! (sing that line as Hannah Montana). The other great thing about skorts is they can be so versatile and easily dressed up or down, which brings me to today’s blog post topic…

I recently purchased this burgundy faux leather skort from one of my favorite local boutiques, All About Me, and I’m absolutely obsessed with it! It’s super stretchy and comfortable, even though it’s leather. I already know I’m going to be wearing it all fall and winter long. Yes, I’m an outfit repeater – sue me! The weather teased us and gave us 1.5 days of chilly weather over the weekend and now we’re back to 80 degrees. But that’s the good thing about skorts, you can rock them when it’s hot or cool! So I thought I’d share with y’all three different ways to style it,  from casual all the way to sassy dressy! Check them out, and don’t forget to vote for your favorite below!

Just because something is casual doesn’t mean it can’t be chic. This outfit is the perfect combination of the two. I paired the skort with a stylish short sleeve sweater top and my favorite jean jacket from when I was a kid. I threw on my comfortable riding boots, and BOOM, outfit is complete! You could even go more casual than this and pair the skort with a plain or graphic tee.

I kicked up the sassy-ness in this look! Dressed up the skort with my new favorite cozy sweater and my knee-high black heeled boots. Perfect for when the temperature starts to drop a little. To look a little more put together, you could also do a little French tuck with the sweater. Wear this look on a dinner date with your man, out on the town with the girls, or even on Thanksgiving. So versatile!

This is the perfect New Orleans fall outfit! All of the pieces give the look of warm clothing because of the colors, but they are actually pretty lightweight for New Orleans’ warmer fall temperatures. Looking to wear this look when it gets colder? Throw on a teddy jacket or a floor length coat for more coverage and to kick it up a notch.

So those are my top three ways to style a skort. A good skort is a fall staple in my book, and I plan on letting this one take me through all of fall, maybe even into winter if the weather never gets super cold.

Now, I’d love to know… which fall skort look is your favorite?!
